The 35th annual South of Ireland Band Championships

It felt like a great privilege to be, once again, at the Band Championships in Clonakilty - with excellent bands participating from all over Ireland. So much good music to listen to, and competitive suspense until the very end. St.Fachtna's Silver band gave their very best and achieved second place in the Junior section...

Junior Band Recital

Recently, the junior members of St.Fachtna's Silver Band lead by Frank O'Connor, gave a recital at the Town Hall in Skibbereen for the local school children.
They were met with plenty of enthusiasm and, as a result, the band has 20 new recruits taking lessons and preparing to join the junior band shortly.
The band has invested in a whole new set of instruments for its new members.
