It was great to be out playing some Christmas and non Christmas tunes for passing shoppers in Skibbereen Farmer's Market. The start of our Christmas appearances this month. The weather just held for us until hailstorms came down in our last 10 minutes.

Cape Clear,, Saturday 26th August 2023
Once again the band went on its annual trip overseas to Cape Clear. The weather was stunning and there was a good crowd there to watch our performances at the 2 pubs on the Island. Thanks again to Mary O'Driscoll for inviting us and we hope to be back again next year.

South Of Ireland Band Championships
We were very pleased to be back again this year at the South of Ireland Band Championships in Clonakilty. We had a stand in Conductor Sean Cotter and we played our programme of Colonel Bogey, Eternal Flame, Black and White Rag and Lay all your love on me. The tunes went down well and we won the adjudicator's award for best soloist by Amie O'Driscoll in the Black and White rag. We then went into town and played 2 slots, 1 outside Scally's Supervalu and the other outside Shanley's Bar. A great day out.
